NUR Beach Hotel has surprisingly good food- most of the times. Downside is the lack of ambiance in the restaurant. Our solution to that is to sit upstairs- over looking the sea.
Living here means knowing the menus- what to eat where and when. To NUR we go for their amazing starter to share ( 13 usd) . Two well portioned trays with fried calamari, prawns, fish fingers, fried octopus, patata brava, olives and the local falafel- badia. So if you want to indulge in straight up no fuss seafood- this is your choice. With that come some dip sauce- that can be improved. Just plain mayonnaise should not be delivered as a dip. And as usual here on Zanzibar we miss the fresh vegetables. So we order also the avocado tomato salad – then it is i perfect.
NUR has good value for money accommodation too. About 70-80 usd/room and night. Straight on the beach. Only double beds though and hard to stay more than pax. But of you fit into that- this is a good option.
