The starfruit were brought to Zanzibar from Asia. It s not so commonly used but sometimes put in food to replace lime or any other acidic ingredient. It is rich in vitamin C and can also be made into pickles, jams and jellies. As it has a high acid content it is also used in the households bleach stains and cleans.

Impression & Feelings: Not so common but beautiful
